Today was hard...

Today was hard, I watched my good friend Amy and her family say goodbye to their baby boy Nicholas, he was only 8 months old and probably died from SIDS. It certainly was sudden and not expected. How did they get through this? I cannot imagine. I only know for certain that God was with them and gave them a peace beyond understanding. They all love and serve the Lord. One may say "Why?" "How did God let this happen?" God did not "let this happen". We live in a sinful world and God never said we would not have hard times ahead. In fact he tells us in the Bible that we will indeed have hard times. Especially if you serve Him. Ever notice how you may have a friend that they seem to have everything going for them? Lots of "things", money, toys, trips to great places, great jobs, etc. but they don't believe in God. Why do they keep getting and getting and having these apparently "great" things happening to them? You see, they are not a threat to satan. He is not bothered by them. They are no worry to him. Their so called "blessings" never seem to end or get taken from them. Don't let this scare you into serving God though. The fulfillment you will feel from serving Him is way better and when He welcomes you home, you will understand it all. You see.....my life is not my own....it is His.
